Renew the mind. Restore the soul. Revive the spirit.

Overthinking to a Peaceful Mind

By:

Fear fuels excessive worry, doubt and overthinking in our vain attempt to control circumstances and outcomes. Jesus told us in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Unfortunately, we often choose to stay stuck in a fear-based thought cycle focusing on the ‘what if’s’ instead of acknowledging God’s sovereignty and allowing Him to give us rest. Learning to let go of our need for control and to trust that God is not easy to do, but once we surrender, that’s where we’ll experience His supernatural peace.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Follow these steps to allow God to get control over your thoughts from a biblical perspective to achieve true peace of mind:

  1. SURRENDER worries to the Lord and trust in His promise for peace
