Christians are called to be different. As a child of God, we are given the gifts of His grace, mercy, peace and power! There may be times when life may not be “good” but even in difficult circumstances, all can be well with our soul. We should respond to life’s obstacles with the supernatural peace and joy in Christ that’s been instilled within us by the Holy Spirit. When we address our soul and spiritual needs and choose to walk by faith, we not only FEEL better mentally, but we will BE better and will DO better! Let your soul and faith SHINE in this dark world no matter the circumstances of your life.
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance…Proverbs 15:13

Our words matter. They can build us up or tear us down. Speak kindly and compassionately to yourself and others. Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Godly hope and optimism is a choice that effects our mood and motivation. Psalm 71:14 “But I will hope continually, And will yet praise thee more and more.”
Gratitude is the antithesis of anxiety which leads to a “GLAD-itude”. Count your blessings and choose to dwell on the good not on the “should haves” of the past or “what ifs” of the future. In the present moment of the here and now point out all the ways you’re blessed and reasons to be GLAD! Psalms 118:24 “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it”
Jesus said He is the bread of life. Our personal relationship with Him is the ultimate source of spiritual nourishment from here to eternity! Isaiah told us years before, with God, we not only are nourished but will flourish physically, mentally and spiritually. Isaiah 58:11 “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.”
Jesus is our almighty, powerful King of kings and Lord of lords! We are empowered by the Holy Spirit when we trust and believe God can and will move mountains in our life according to His will. Expect His best and thank Him for His provision. Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. “
